HASTINGS WELSH SOCIETY NEWS

Didn’t we have a lovely day - the day we went to  Boulogne? 23 members invaded la belle France!

The AGM was, once again, well attended at the High Beech Hotel. The Officers were all re-elected with 2 new members welcomed to the Committee.

Thank you Arlene, for the warmth of your welcome and arranging the warmth of the sun at our coffee morning in your beautiful garden in Battle.

BEXHILL COFFEE MORNING

Thanks to the hospitality of Derek & Terry Griffiths, we are
going to have a coffee morning on Saturday 14 August from
10.30 to 12.00 at their home: Cantelupe Road, Bexhill-on-Sea TN40 1HZ. It is at the eastern end of
Cantelupe Road at the junction with Dorset Road South –
look out for the green fence!

As usual, admission is just £1/head to cover expenses. Donations of raffle prizes welcomed.

DYMCHURCH VISIT

On Saturday 11 September we are going to the New Hall Museum and will have lunch at the Ship Inn. We have arranged that we can park at the Ship Inn, 118 High Street, Dymchurch TN39 0NS at 11.00am. We will then visit the Museum (lots of smuggling connections related to our recent talk). Will Dr Syn be there at the Ship Inn? Shall we drink Scarecrow ale? The possibilities are endless!!! We shall certainly enjoy a lovely lunch afterwards! We will need to know numbers, so please contact Rhiannon on by 28 August. It may be possible to arrange some lifts.
